Part time position available Monday Through Friday 10 am- 2 pm

Role:

Assists in the planning and implementation of the Connections program of the community to ensure the maximum levels of resident leisure contentment, as well as physical, mental, and psychological well-being.  This is accomplished by taking into account Juniper Communities’ philosophy, hallmarks, policies and procedures as well as current federal, state and local regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

Comply with Juniper Communities’ philosophy and hallmarks as well as all written policies and procedures that govern the operation of the Resident Services Department.

Places orders, shops, prices store stock, stocks store shelves and checks deliveries.

Uses personal vehicle to drive to local supermarkets to purchase items.

Trains volunteers on the Point-Of-Service computerized system.

Prepares invoices for payment.

Provides shopping and delivery services for residents for a fee.

Maintains a clean and safe environment for shoppers.

Assists the Village Store volunteers when needed, working shifts not covered by volunteers.

Attends job related meetings, education programs and in-service training programs.

Support the mission, vision, and culture of the organization through positive communication and leadership.

Contribute to Community relationships by demonstrating cooperation and professional conduct with residents, families, fellow employees, physicians, pharmacies and other vendors or persons.

Contribute to team effort by being flexible in work assignments; by furnishing support; by taking initiative; and by understanding how this position affects and compliments all other Community positions.

Able to maintain work pace appropriate to given work load. Perform activities on schedule while maintaining regular attendance and punctuality within specified tolerance.



Educational/Vocational Requirements:

A High School Diploma

Previous experience in healthcare or service-related setting.

Must be at least 21 years old

Must have a valid state driver’s license with appropriate class

Must have a clean driver’s record and present a professional appearance and image

Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.
