Job Title: Weekend Welder

Regular Hours: Friday - Sunday, 6:00am - 6:30pm (Work 36 hours and paid for 40!)
Pay Rate: $20.00 - 22.00/ hour. *Weekend shift employees receive an additional .50cent shift differential*

Position Summary: Maintains, repairs, and installs plant equipment, and related facilities machinery; maintains a variety of records; participates in special projects; and performs a variety of tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. Maintenance and improvement of facility equipment to ensure continued operation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance activities on Facility equipment including lubrication, inspection, and replacement of parts; order and maintain stock levels of lubricants used in plant equipment.
· Maintain records of plant tool and equipment history; maintain preventative maintenance records and schedules.
· Participate in the installation of plant facility equipment; participate in making modifications to equipment for maximum process performance.
· Install, troubleshoot, and repair general facility systems (lighting, fans, plumbing, HVAC).
· Ensure and adhere to safe work practices and procedures including, but not limited to lockout/tag out and general OSHA rules and regulations.
· Continuous 5S practice within department.
· Conforms to all plant policies and procedures.
· Obeys and enforces all safety rules.
· General painting and plumbing repairs
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
- Basic knowledge of industrial electronics and diesel-fueled equipment.
- Knowledge of facility equipment and required maintenance.
- Basic industrial electrical skills a must, 120v wiring and troubleshooting
- Knowledge and experience in general plumbing and facility repairs and maintenance.
- Fundamentals of pipefitting and fabrication.
- General knowledge and experience with tools and industrial plant maintenance.
- HVAC experience preferred.
- Basic mathematics skills.
- Occupational hazards and safety practices.
- Industrial Maintenance Certificate or 2 years related experience in a facility maintenance position
Conditions and Equipment:
- Plant environment with exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, gases, oils, toxic chemicals, and inclement weather conditions.
- Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; use of hands for fine work; reaching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and standing for prolonged periods of time.
