SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Precision Turbines Inc. (PTI) is entrusted with the responsibility to provide logistics and maintenance support of a single Cessna UC35 U.S. Marine Corps aircraft in Qatar. The Site Lead Mechanic, SLM, is a direct extension of the PTI Management team. As a member of the PTI team, Site Leads are expected to be Leaders, Motivators, and expert Aircraft Mechanics. The SLM reports to the PTI Program Management Office Maintenance Manager. The SLM position is an outstanding opportunity to further demonstrate ones Leadership abilities and aircraft expertise. JOB:
Site Lead Mechanic – Deployed in Qatar
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Following task are examples of effort for this position and are not all-inclusive.
Site Lead Mechanic – Major tasks/responsibilities:
- -Oversite and assurance of safety – in all endeavors while performing maintenance, repair or inspection on the aircraft, employs immediate corrective actions as necessary to ensure employees, crew members, and aircraft operate in a safe environment.
- -Responsible for the management of the assigned site Supervisory duties – Supervise assigned Mechanics, providing leadership, mentoring, and guidance, perform formal and informal performance evaluations.
- -Responsible to ensure proper documentation of all maintenance, repair or inspection activity in accordance with the FAA, General Maintenance Manual, OEM Manual, PTI policy, U.S. Navy guidance and Instructions.
- -Works with the PTI Program Office Quality Assurance Manager to ensure site operations and personnel maintain quality standards as established by PTI’s ISO certification and Quality Assurance Program.
- -Provide to the PTI Program Office daily and weekly reporting as instructed by the Maintenance Manager.Attend site operations safety meetings as directed.
- -Rack Deferred Maintenance Items (DMIs)Ensure support and shop equipment, calibrated tools remain in a serviceable and working condition in accordance with applicable publications.
- -Responsible for accurate and timely entries of the various data inputs into PTI’s Web Interface System (WIS) and CESCOM upon completion of training.
- -Responsibilities include working on the aircraft, ensuring the aircraft is serviced, maintained in such as manner as to retain airworthiness and FAA certification.Adhere to -Policies and Procedures as outlined in FAA Standards, OEM manuals, PTI policy Manual, General Maintenance Manual, Quality Assurance Manual, U.S. Navy Guidance and Instructions.
- -Local and Site Guidance and Instructions as required.
- -Perform other duties as required.
- -Daily attendance is essential to this position.
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
- -High school diploma or equivalent.
- -Possess a valid FAA Aircraft & Power plant (A&P) license
EXPERIENCE, SKILL, AND KNOWLEDGE:
- -A minimum of two years prior experience in Turbine Aviation maintenance is required.
- -Prior experience in troubleshooting, inspection and repair of avionics systems required.
- -Possess adequate training and experience to perform engine run-ups and/or taxi operations.
- -Demonstrated increased responsibilities strongly desired.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- -Physically able to deploy to overseas locations.
- -Qualify for and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- -Must be able to qualify to obtain a driver’s license for an aircraft tug and military flight line vehicles
- -Able to qualify for and maintain engine run/taxi
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- -Work typically performed in an office, warehouse, and aircraft hangar atmosphere.
- -Exposed to aircraft maintenance conditions such as engine noise, riveting, dust and chemical fumes.
- -Hearing, vision and breathing protection provided.
- -Some exposure to elements of weather when traveling and/or commuting between buildings.
- -May require extensive travel.Varying operational hours
PHYSICAL & MENTAL CONDITIONS:
- -Normal physical exertion required for periods of working on foot or standing
- -Requires lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds.Requires kneeling on occasion in performance of duties.
- -Requires ability to twist, bend, squat, climb and/or other body movements to successfully accomplish the requirements of the position.
- -Requires the use of either or both hands for grasping items.
- -Manual dexterity and the ability to push/pull, i.e.: open/close file cabinets and/or handle machinery is required.
- -Requires the ability to reach above shoulder height in accomplishing job tasks.
- -Requires the ability to walk on uneven surfaces.
- -Sufficient vision required to successfully accomplish the requirements of the position.Requires sustained periods of concentration.
