CAD Design Tech I
The CAD Design Technician I position requires sound knowledge of design and drafting techniques, engineering drawings, CAD/graphics (AutoCAD/Inventor), and reading of drawings. Responsible for developing designs for complete product assemblies, components, and details necessary for manufacturing our products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Use CAD to create detailed drawings, assembly drawings and sketches for shop orders.
· Accurate details to include all views and dimensions necessary for shop manufacturing.
· Create bills of material for shop order items.
· Perform derailed review of BOMs and shop drawings created by other engineers and Cad Techs ensuring the design details match project requirements as specified on the top-level customer drawing.
· Make requested revisions to shape, size, and arrangements of parts.
· Assist engineers with drafting needs.
· Work effectively with others in a team-based environment to accomplish company goals and to identify and resolve problems.
· Good attendance is mandatory.
· Ability to multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day.
· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
· Able to carry out departmental goals consistent with corporate strategic goals.
· Comply with all company rules, safety policies and procedures.
· Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in engineering with emphasis on CAD Design preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must possess the ability to communicate effectively one-on-one or in group situations with customers, industry groups and co-workers; utilizing methods to include, but not limited to verbal presentations or conversations plus telephone and email communications.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding while carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form plus the ability to create and interpret documents correctly. Possess the ability to deal with problems involving several variables in various situations.
