Job Summary:

The  Business Systems Analyst provides technical support and leads the improvement, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s information systems, including ERP and SQL systems, to optimize performance, ensure security, and support business operations. This role is mainly responsible for internal support of Air Innovations ERP system, support and maintain SQL database, troubleshooting system issues, managing user access, supporting compliance efforts, implementing new technologies, and providing end-user training.

The Business Systems Analyst works closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to implement solutions that improve operational efficiency, maintain system integrity, and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Primary internal support resource for the ERP system
  • Lead the development, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of the organization’s ERP system and related information systems.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and support ERP applications
  • Manage ERP and network user accounts, including access controls, permissions, email accounts, and phone systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve ERP, hardware, software, network, and system issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute SQL queries, scripts, and reports, including ERP reporting and data analysis.
  • Support ERP upgrades, patches, testing, and system enhancements.
  • Monitor and support system backups, maintenance, and data restoration processes for SQL and the ERP.
  • Coordinate and manage external MSP IT, ERP, and telecommunications vendors and contractors.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring systems meet compliance, security, and internal control requirements.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining ERP and Business Process policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Analyze system and ERP performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements and new technologies.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, process flows, and ERP user guides.
  • Train end users on ERP systems, applications, and IT processes.
  • Support and maintain organizational equipment including computers, laptops, printers, projectors, phone systems, and network devices.


Minimum Qualification Standards:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting ERP and SQL
  • Required experience supporting and administering an ERP system
  • Strong experience with SQL, including writing queries, scripts, and reports
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network systems
  • Experience managing user access, permissions, and security controls
  • Experience working with third-party IT and ERP vendors
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and user support skills 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·        Knowledge of and ability to administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot ERP systems, including managing user access, security, and system performance.

·        Knowledge of and skill in using SQL and relational databases to develop queries, scripts, and reports for data analysis and business operations.

·        Knowledge of information systems infrastructure.

·        Knowledge of information security principles, access controls, backup and recovery procedures, and audit and compliance requirements, and the ability to implement and support these controls.

·        Skill and ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system, ERP, hardware, software, and network issues and implement effective solutions.

·        Skill in analyzing system performance, identifying trends, and recommending and implementing system and process improvements.

·        Skill in creating and maintaining technical documentation, procedures, and user training materials, and the ability to effectively train and support end users.

·        Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities, and to work independently while exercising sound technical judgment.

·        Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to users, management, vendors, and other stakeholders.

·        Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.

·        Ability to learn, apply, and support new technologies, systems, and business processes. 

Equipment, Machines and Software Used:

·        ERP software systems and related reporting tools

·        SQL database management systems and query tools

·        Desktop and laptop computers, servers, and related hardware

·        Microsoft Windows operating systems

·        Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams

·        User account and access management systems (e.g., Active Directory or similar tools)

·        Office equipment, including printers, scanners, and copiers

·        Telecommunications equipment, including desk phones and mobile devices 

Mental and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach as needed
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to approximately 25 pounds, such as computers and peripheral devices
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate computers, keyboards, and related equipment
  • Ability to analyze complex technical information and solve problems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions
  • Ability to respond to interruptions and changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with users, vendors, and team members
  • Ability to work at a computer monitor for extended periods
  • Ability to read technical documentation, system information, and detailed reports 

Environmental Conditions:

There is no exposure to adverse environmental conditions.  Work is performed in a typical office work environment.  Occasional exposure to the manufacturing floor.
