Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) – 13 Week Contract

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in a hospital oncology setting. This role is designed for nurses with strong clinical oncology experience who are comfortable managing chemotherapy administration and complex cancer-related conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients in an inpatient or infusion environment
• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy per protocol (if applicable)
• Monitor for infusion reactions and treatment-related complications
• Manage symptom control including pain, nausea, and treatment side effects
• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor patient status
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and medication regimens
• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
• Collaborate with oncologists and interdisciplinary care teams

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact as applicable)
• Minimum 2+ years of recent oncology nursing experience required
• Experience with chemotherapy administration required (if facility mandates)
• Strong clinical assessment and prioritization skills
• Ability to manage medically complex patients

Required Certifications

• BLS required
• ACLS required
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification preferred

Contract Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts (days or nights based on availability)
• Employment Type: Contract (not permanent)
