Catering Driver
POSITION SUMMARY:
Deliver food and beverages to the guests promptly and follows the standards set by the facility. Explains
menu item and terms and provides suggestions to customers when asked.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: (applicable to position)
Required California Food Handlers Certification (CA)
Valid Ca Drivers License
Valid Vehicle Insurance
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Load and unload food, beverages, and catering equipment into the vehicle
Deliver food and beverages to various locations in a timely manner
Set up catering equipment at event locations, if necessary
Follow navigation systems and road signs to reach destinations
Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of your personal vehicle
Adhere to food safety standards during transportation
Inspect and pack necessary supplies and utensils needed for the event
Communicate with catering managers and event planners about delivery schedules and
potential delays
Process payments and invoices into the POS in a timely manner,
Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing their needs and requirements
Communicate with catering manager of any customer issues
Accept catering order in a timely manner
Report milage, tips and hours worked in a timely manner
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read, write and speak English
Familiar with restaurant industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures
Ability to effectively interact with a diverse population of Associates, Management and Guests
Ability to rely on experience and judgment when appropriate
Able to consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor
Strong organizational and coordination skills
Strong interpersonal communication skills
