Who We Are Looking For

Due to our expanded footprint and product offerings, we are looking to add a full-time outside Technical Pump Sales position. This person would be required to travel throughout the Interior of British Columbia to find new pump sales business, support current customers, and develop outside sales routes for Delta within the region.

Territory: Central British Columbia (Kootenays, Southern Okanagan, Kamloops-Thompson, West to Hope, Caribou region)

 

Location

Kamloops BC, however, the candidate could also reside in the Vernon or Kelowna area.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Working with our inside pump sales team, this person will provide outside sales support, territory coverage, quotations, and sales presentations.

  • Find new business within BC’s vast group of pump contractors and various industrial uses of our pump and motor products.
  • Extensive travel in central BC calling on that region’s pump industry.
  • Create a database of new and existing customers for potential business calls.
  • Create an effective travel schedule to cover the areas.
  • Conduct cold calls and create appointments with new and existing business contacts.
  • Assist customers via phone and in person.
  • Maintain records of customer calls and prepare bi-monthly and monthly report outs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.
  • Class 5 license with good driving record is required.


Skills

  • Ideally the candidate will have a solid knowledge set of pumps and water systems.
  • Ideal candidate: Ticketed Pump installer who can size pumps, is a people person, and looking for a career in sales.
  • Strong preference to someone with a skilled trades ticket (pump installer, plumber, electrician, millwright) who understands pumps, motors, and drives.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot a wide variety of topics.
  • Must be able to set up travel routes, provide scheduled sales call reports, and develop a market with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft word, office and excel.

Compensation

Salary Range $75,000 - $90,000 per year
