Diesel Mechanic
Job Description-
Gregorys Diesel Marine and Truck Service is a family owned business that is quickly growing in size. Servicing Class 1 through Class 8 trucks, small to large equipment, and Inboard/Outboard boat engines; our goal is to always take care of the customer and take pride in performing a timely/reliable repair. With a spacious, clean, and heated shop our team is in need of reliable technicians that are ready to work. With such a wide array of vehicles/equipment we are looking for technicians with experience in diesel repair, diesel engines, equipment, diagnosing, air brakes, computer diagnostics, and preventative maintenance. Technicians will be required to perform detailed write-ups and parts requests in their day to day rolls. Class A or Class B CDL is not required but technicians who have one will be compensated accordingly.

07:30 am to 03:00 pm

Responsibilities-
Technicians will be required to perform preventative maintenance inspections, fluid and filter changes, brake and DOT inspections, fault code reading and troubleshooting, and diagnosing customer complaints.
Technicians must maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
Must complete necessary repairs in a timely and organized fashion.
Technicians will be required to perform a detailed write-up after each repair performs.
Training/knowledge of air brake and air disk brake systems for service and diagnosing.
Technicians must be computer literate and willing to be trained on both the computer software and service order system.
Troubleshoot and repair vehicles/equipment and systems as needed, including electrical, PM’s, clutches, brakes, and other repairs.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Troubleshoot and repair engines, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and PTO systems.
Work independently to complete responsibilities and other assigned repairs.
Qualifications-
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a diesel technician or similar role.
- A sufficient set of hand/power tools required to perform repairs.
- Knowledge of heavy duty vehicle and equipment systems.
- A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to and from work/reliable attendance.
