Belt Grinder/ Industrial Metal Grinders

Have you worked in manufacturing or the aerospace industry?

Do you have experience operating industrial machines?

Have you worked with Metal?

Do you have experience surface, rotary and abrasive belt grinding?

Busy company in the Santa Fe Springs area is seeking people with hands-on experience performing a variety of grinding techniques with various grinding machines.

In this role, you will operate belt grinders to grind, smooth, and polish sheet metal.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate belt grinder
• Operate over head cranes to move material.
• Mechanically inclined 
• Maintain work area and production equipment in clean and orderly condition. Follow all safety work rules.
• Perform light maintenance on plant equipment where needed, i.e., startup/shutdown, maintain inspection records and keep work environment clean.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years Machine Operator Experience
• Experience operating belt grinders, rotary grinders, precision milling, and or surface grinder
• Ability to safely and effectively operate grinding tools such as angle grinder, DA sander, cut off wheels
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders

Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Shift: 2nd, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM

* Must be available to work weekends and overtime when need *
