Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal with 0 to 10 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work flexible hours. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys, conducting research, and assisting with case preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and proofreading legal documents such as complaints and answers, motions, discovery requests and responses, affidavits and other documents as required for review by attorneys
- Ensure accuracy and legal compliance in filings
- Manage, organize, and update case files, including correspondence and discovery
- Assist with client communication, scheduling meetings, and following up on inquiries
- Provide deposition support and assist in trial preparation
- E-filing in Federal and State courts
- Coordinating witnesses and experts for depositions and trials
Education and Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Paralegal Certification, such as those offered by NALA or AACP, is required
- 1 to 10 years of experience in civil litigation preferred
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Westlaw preferred
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities
