Retirement Center Management, a leader in the senior living industry has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Business Office Manager at our Village of the Heights location, an Assisted Living and Memory Care senior community.
The Business Office Manager primarily oversees all community accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, third party billing, and resident inquiries. Additionally, the Business Office Manager is the primary point of contact for human resources related functions and directly supervises the front desk/concierge staff. The Business Office Manager is always ready to assist other key roles within the facility when needed. Must desire to work with seniors and have a tolerance for behaviors associated with dementia and other aging processes.
Responsible for execution of all business office functions to include; accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and resident inquiries.
Responsible for all accounting related to documenting, preparing, and distributing resident statements.
Responsible for aging/past-due account collections and analysis. Follow company collection policies and procedures to eliminate / reduce delinquent accounts. Makes recommendations to Executive Director regarding write-offs.
Assist all hiring managers with the recruiting and hiring process.
Ensures timely submission of biweekly payroll processing. Primary backup for all timecard processing.
Schedules new hire orientation and leads assigned segments.
Submits employee changes such as annual merit increases, change in position or status, and terminations timely.
Maintains on-site employee files in accordance with all company, state and federal requirements.
Tracks and assures all certifications and licenses are current and any annual reports are requested and processed.
Respond to the needs of residents, families and visitors by providing immediate and courteous assistance.
Assist in resolving customer financial disputes.
Responsible for ordering office supplies and other office function requirements within budget.
Responsible for the management of front desk/concierge staff including hiring and scheduling.
Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws.
Able to demonstrate proficient use of resident billing software.
Assists with special projects or tasks.
Participates in the Manager on Duty (MOD) weekend rotation.
Maintains a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
Associate degree or above in accounting, finance, or human resources preferred.
2-3 years of related experience preferred.
Training and Certifications:
Valid Driver’s License
Positive Driving Record
Special Skills and/or Abilities:
Experience with basic computer skills in Word and Excel
Experience with resident billing software, Yardi preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills

Must pass a background check and drug screen.
