Materials Clerk
In a warehouse and office space, this position will be performing manual and clerical work in the receiving, shipping, stocking of material and products. The person in this position will be responsible for the preparing of shipments, verifying incoming material, processing of repairs, and other duties.
Essential Functions:
· Preparation of products / parts for outgoing shipments using identification information from packing slips and other documents.
· Packing and sealing products / parts for ground and freight shipments.
· Preparing labels, bills of lading, customs documentation, pickup scheduling and other documents for outgoing shipments.
· Receiving incoming material and product by checking it in against packing slips and other internal documentation.
· Stocking receiving material in proper locations and cycling inventory.
· Processing and writing up incoming customer repairs.
· Weekly or bi-weekly repairs runs to customers.
· Inventory counts.
· Keep warehouse, shipping area and inventory areas clean.
· Forklift operation.
· Following safety rules and guidelines.
Skills & Education Requirements:
· Minimum of a GED/High School diploma.
· Ability to use hand-trucks, forklifts or other handling equipment to move materials.
· Previous shipping and receiving experience.
· Strong computer and math skills.
· Familiarity with Microsoft software including Outlook, Word and Excel.
· Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
· Valid driver’s license as well as meeting insurance requirements to operate a company vehicle.
