Job Description:

·         Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages

·         Address customers' complaints or concerns

·         Prepare and serve specialty food at customers' tables

·         Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings

·         Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations

·         Describe and advise on wine selection

·         Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages

·         Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware

·         Perform sensory evaluation of wines

·         Serve food and beverages

·         Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff

·         Provide customer service

Requirements:

- Education: No formal education is required

- Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided.

- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Overtime required, Standing for extended periods

- Personal suitability: Client focus, Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Initiative, Organized, Reliability, Team player

- Language: Intermediate level of English is required

Salary: $16.50 hourly, 40.00 hours per week.

Important Information:

The position requires flexibility in scheduling based on business needs. The work schedule is 6 am – 2:30 pm, 2 pm – 10:30 pm, and 4 pm – 12:30 am. Weekend work and overtime will be required. Please note that we are located in a rural area.
