Fibre Federal Credit Union is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work out of our Longview, WA location and travel to other Fibre Federal locations as needed.

Wage Range: $18.82 - $29.41
* The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increases based on performance.  The target pay range for this position is typically within the first half of the range.  Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training.  Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Provide general maintenance support to office buildings and property. Be able to travel to different building locations. Possess general maintenance skills encompassing all trade areas including intermediate carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. Be able to transfer equipment, furniture, and fixtures when necessary.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Must possess the necessary general maintenance skills required for intermediate carpentry, electrical, and plumbing areas.

·         Perform minor repairs to building surfaces.

·         Install appliances and equipment.

·         Ability to troubleshoot electrical or plumbing issues.

·         Perform periodical landscaping duties such as mowing, trash collecting, adjustments to irrigation controls, etc.

·         Maintain, clean, and properly store equipment.

·         Must have the ability to transfer equipment, furniture, and fixtures, as needed.

·         Must possess the ability to switch functions and multitask, when needed.

·         Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving record and ability to have adequate automobile related insurance.

·         Must have the ability to work independently and have a flexible schedule.

·         Must be on call after hours for emergency related matters.

·         Must be able to travel to all OCR service centers.

·         Perform all duties described in adherence to Washington and Oregon safety standards.

·         Other duties as assigned by Manager.

 

PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·         Lifting/Transporting - Must be able to lift, gather, pack, load, and unload up to 100 pounds.

·         Physical Abilities/Requirements - Must be able to transport yourself and have the physical ability to climb stairs and/or walk a distance.

·         Travel - Must have ability to travel to all service centers throughout all regions of the organization. Must be able to sit in a vehicle for extended periods of time.

·         Specific Skills - Must know how to use basic tools needed for minor carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs.

The individual maintains ongoing communication with Department Manager concerning activities of the department as well as needs or problems and keeps them informed of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes, and other important information.

·         Planning/Organizing - The individual must possess well-honed organizational traits and skills and have ability to perform multiple tasks while always paying attention to detail. Must be a self-starter, working with little supervision.

·         Dependability - The individual is consistently at work and on time (except for those cases protected by law which are outlined in the Employee Guide), follows instructions, responds to Management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance.

·         Observes Policies/Procedures - The individual sets an example in observing (following) Credit Union policy and applicable Standard Operating Procedures, as well as those in the Employee Guide.

·         Image - The individual must display a positive and professional image.

 

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
Possess high school diploma or equivalent

 

Experience - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to think logically, solve problems, work independently, be capable of following detailed technical instructions, and be willing and able to continuously learn.

·         1 year of similar, related, or transferable experience in facility maintenance preferred.

 

Licensing/Certification - Obtain required certification to operate equipment as required.
