Position Summary
The Generator Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of natural gas-powered generator sets (gen-sets) used in Upstream Data’s operations. This role is key to ensuring the reliability and performance of power generation equipment that supports our modular facilities and field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance on natural gas gen-sets, including oil changes, filter replacements, tune-ups, and inspections
- Diagnose and repair issues with engines, control systems, fuel systems, ignition systems, and other components.
- Conduct performance testing and system checks to ensure optimal generator operation.
- Document all work performed, maintain accurate maintenance logs, and follow company standards for record-keeping.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams for troubleshooting.
- Assist with new generator installations and commissioning.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with electricians, facility staff, and management on generator-related projects.
