General Manager

 

Tewksbury Country Club is seeking a Full-Time General Manager.  The GM will manage and direct the entire daily operations of the restaurant and event department, including selection, development and performance management of all employees including management of Front & Back of House.  The GM will manage the day to day operations and financial activities to optimize profits and ensure that guests are satisfied with their dining experience.  The GM will oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.  Must be willing to create and maintain a positive, productive working environment. 

 

This position will require knowledge of POS systems, understanding financial reports and annual budgets.  You will be responsible for maintaining standard food, labor and liquor percentages set forth by the Team on a daily basis.  Vast experience in the restaurant & event industry is required and candidates should be professionals with drive and diplomacy who want to be part of a growing company and a dynamic team.  Competitive Salary & Benefits package will be based on experience

 

Essential skills & qualifications include:

·        Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferred in hotel & restaurant management

.        Minimum of 5 years of directly related restaurant management experience in fine or casual dining which includes personnel management & operational experience

.         Minimum of 2 years in similar capacity role

·         Ability to organize workloads & meet deadlines

·         Strong leadership & team management skills

·         Strong POS knowledge & necessary administrative software

·         Maintain food safety & allergen certifications, First Aid, CPR, AED & Crowd Manager

·         Strong communication skills & be able to implement & follow company procedures

·         Ability to problem solve

·         Previous experience preparing & understanding financial reports & budget

·         Report to and work alongside executive management team

.         Must be available to work a variety of shifts including weekday, weeknights & weekends
