Chula Seafood is opening in Downtown Phoenix at the Arizona Center, and we’re building our founding leadership team. We’re looking for a high-energy, detail-driven Assistant General Manager / Assistant Local Store Leader who’s ready to help bring this location to life.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of an opening team — setting the tone, building the culture, and helping establish what will become a flagship Chula location.

As AGM, you’ll work side by side with the General Manager to lead daily operations, develop the team, and deliver the level of hospitality and execution Chula is known for. This role is hands-on, people-first, and built for someone ready to step up and grow with us.

What You’ll Do:

• Support the GM in all day-to-day operations (FOH + BOH)

• Lead from the floor — driving service, energy, and guest experience

• Uphold and elevate Chula’s standards of hospitality, food quality, and cleanliness

• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training the opening team

• Coach and develop team members while building a strong, accountable culture

• Support scheduling, inventory, and administrative responsibilities

• Help manage labor, costs, and operational efficiency

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards 

What You Bring:

• 2+ years of restaurant leadership experience

• A genuine passion for hospitality and people

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• A hands-on leadership style with attention to detail

• Flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays)

• Food safety certification (or ability to obtain)

• Seafood knowledge and Square POS experience a plus
