Kids Family Experience Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

The Kids Family Experience Coordinator is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for each child, family, and volunteer leader. This role specifically focuses on the details of the CBC Kids spaces, management of Rock database for Kids, follow up with CBC Kids families, and oversight of some special events. In addition, this role is responsible for providing first time families with an excellent experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Preparing new family welcome gifts (to include Weekends, Kids Club, Special Events)
  • Overseeing the follow up process for new CBC Kids families
  • Serving as the main CBC Kids contact for Rock database (registrations, account updates, links)
  • Planning and executing the set up for Family Dedication and Baptism classes
  • Leading some special events. • Managing CBC Kids family contact for milestones (i.e. first birthdays, family dedication, baptism)
  • Maintaining CBC Kids environments and ensuring they are prepared for ministry (signs, check in spaces)
  • Completing supply inventory and putting supplies away when new orders arrive
  • Actively engaging in discipleship with staff, parents, and volunteers within the CBC Kids Ministry
  • Attend classes, workshops, conferences, courses and other training opportunities for personal or professional growth outlined and approved by the Pastor
  • Attend all staff meetings – scheduled or called
  • Volunteer/serve as needed for both Easter and Christmas Team CBC weekends
  • Other duties as assigned

 POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Weekend services are a required part of this job’s scheduled hours and flexible weekday hours available.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to do the following:

  • Must have good or corrected vision as well as effective peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Must have good manual dexterity and be able to use repetitive motion of the hands and arms
  • Must be able to frequently and effectively communicate in both written and verbal form
  • Must be able to frequently lift children up to 75 pounds
  • Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) + years related work or volunteer experience
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & First Aid required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Duties are performed in a ministry setting with occasional outside events/activities that require prolong standing. The environment may be fast-paced and hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential that the employee can effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job and manage multiple activities in a ministry setting.
