We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller & Coder with ophthalmology or optometric experience. This role offers stable hours, a small team environment, and the opportunity to expand your skills beyond routine charge entry.

Starting pay: $20–$25/hour DOE
Opportunity to earn up to an additional $7/hour through education and skill advancement
Â
Clinic operates three patient days per week with administrative workflow on Mondays and Fridays. No weekends.
Â
What You’ll Do
• Charge entry and claim submission
• CPT and ICD-10 coding for ophthalmology procedures
• Review and correct denials
• Submit appeals and reconsiderations
• Work insurance portals (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers)
• Manage aging reports and delinquent accounts
• Assist with insurance authorization questions as needed
• Cross-train in front desk or workflow support when necessaryÂ
What We’re Looking For
• Ophthalmology billing/coding experience preferred
• Strong understanding of CPT and ICD-10 guidelines
• Familiarity with payer rules and retina procedures a plus
• Detail-oriented and analytical
• Comfortable working independently
• Team player in a small practice environmentWilling to train the right motivated candidate with medical billing background.
