Job Summary

We believe our Booze Crew is the core of the experience and culture at The Boozy Mutt. We are looking for hard working, self-motivating, team focused, and dog loving people to join our crew. 

As the Front of House Lead, your primary responsibility is to help the general manager in planning, directing and coordinating everyday front of house operations. You will be the liaison and face of Boozy Mutt to ensure a positive experience, both two legged and four-legged. You will provide general supervision while the general manager or other leadership are not present, either on the floor or premises. Directing crew as needed so all service runs smooth, interfacing with our guests from “table touches” to solving any conflict or issues someone may encounter in a claim respectful manner. For crew directives, ensuring that all workflow checklists and tasks are carried out in a timely and accurate manner and stepping in to help facilitate as needed to maintain excellent hospitability and cleanliness standards. As the Lead you will often work in a similar role as other Booze Crew members, although you have additional leadership duties. In conjunction to these duties, helping create an environment for your crew that inspires, motivates and provides suggestions to help them reach certain goals at work. Setting an example to crew members of commitment and process expertise in each front of house position.

Job Standards

  • Follow all policies and procedures as outlines by the company.
  • Maintain a positive attendance record by reporting to work for assigned shifts at the scheduled time.
  • Follow all sanitation and safety standards set forth by the company.
  • Meet all uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified by the company.
  • Maintain guest service philosophy by following guest service standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of all Front of House positions extensively with the ability to perform and train them all to our standards: Concierge, Bartender/Server and Rufferee.
  • Assess bottlenecks in service flow and work the position(s) or be support staff to the position(s) then report this to the general manager.
  • Lead and direct shifts while the general manager is not on the floor or off premise as the source of knowledge and communication for specials, events and position task list inspection.
  • Collection of money generated as revenue and the proper deposit made at the end of each shift.
  • Proper recordkeeping on guest checks at the point of sale. Lead Booze Crew to implement change.
  • Follow policy and training to solve any guest(s) and or crew(s) issue in the monument then report this to the general manager.
  • Lead compliance with food and beverage hygiene policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to innovation process within own scope of Front of House and Beverage Program
  • Maintaining updating cocktail and liquor menus in conjunction with F&B Management.
  • Maintains inventory control, price setting, and receiving of all liquor and related supplies in conjunction with F&B Management.
  • Assure that the opening/closing checklist is completed, and that the restaurant is prepared for opening/closing.
  • Organize crew training sessions with vendors in conjunction with F&B Manager / Attendance and involvement at all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain bar equipment and all bar par levels.
  • Seeking out latest trends and products in industry and sharing with F&B Management.
  • Cocktail preparation and development for seasonal and trend changes.
  • Monitors the provision of positive customer service by assigned staff
  • Share all positive advances with the community and industry in order to inform them of The Boozy Mutt.
  • Assist in supervising assigned staff
  • Resolve routine problems encountered in performance of work assignments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively.
  • Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to a high-level of hospitality and cleanliness.
  • Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to six hours in length.
  • Must be 18 or older as permitted by PA to sell alcoholic beverages.
  • Must possess manual ability to use facility phone and POS / POS Reporting. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must possess 2 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant or similar lead position.
  • Must be able to multi-task and communicate to guests in a claim fashion during high volume times.
  • Must possess manual ability to work with dogs in a hectic environment.
  • Must possess knowledge of upcoming events, menu and specials.
  • Must possess moderate knowledge of beer, wine, cider and mixed drinks / cocktails.
