Facilities Cleaner

This position will maintain the buildings of Business Jet Center and Business Jet Services for janitorial purposes. Our company is growing and looking for an additional Facilities Cleaner to take care of our buildings. As a Facilities Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the sanitation and cleanliness of the workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Empty all waste receptacles and replace trash liners as needed (including take out trash & recycling to the dumpster)
• Clean and supply designated building areas (vacuum, sweep, and mop floors)
• Perform high and low dusting and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures (such as desk, tables, doors and removing spider webs)
• Cleaning windows, walls, floors, stairwells, and carpets
• Deep cleaning restrooms (such as: disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, stalls, walls, mirrors, and vents)
• Detailed cleaning in communal areas such as kitchens, offices, conference rooms, pilot lounges, sleeping rooms, and lobby areas.
• Wipe clean baseboards and floor trim removing dirt
• Clean and sanitize doorknobs, phones, handrails, etc.
• Clean and polish all partition glass at the main terminal (remove fingerprint and marks from glass and elevator)
• Maintain supply and equipment closet clean, organize and safe manner
• Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, sanitary dispensers, etc.
• Notify supervisor of unsafe conditions, major repairs, and abnormal conditions
• Complete task in a timely manner with minimal supervision
• Maintain the general cleanliness of the building premises/adhere to cleaning schedules
• Must follow airport regulations while operating a vehicle on the ramp
• Other routine maintenance duties as assigned (such as deep cleaning projects: removal carpet stains, clean interior windows, deep cleaning offices, etc.)

Qualification Requirements:

• Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Janitorial previous experience required
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Manage time effectively
• Ability to work effectively with a team
• Must be able to use basic cleaning equipment
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays

Certification, Licenses, and badging:

• Valid Driver's License is required with clean driving record
• Ability to obtain a Dallas Love Field Security Badge

Physical Demands:

The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or run. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up at least 50 pounds.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
