Job Summary:
The Medication Aide, QMA will be responsible for administering medication to patients in a nursing home setting. The ideal candidate will have nursing home experience and be a certified medication aide. The Medication Aide, QMA will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and will be responsible for accurately administering medication to patients, monitoring patients for adverse reactions, and documenting medication administration. The Medication Aide, QMA will also be responsible for communicating with the nursing staff and physicians regarding medication orders and changes in patient condition.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Medication Aide (QMA/CNA) certification - deal breaker
- Experience working in a Behavioral Care Facility and Long Term Care setting - if you know, you know.
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols - safety first for the good of all!
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - let's talk about it
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team - be team player
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - details matter!
