Field Calibration Technician - Metrology

Position: Field Calibration Technician - Metrology

Location: West Coast (LA, SD, SF, Seattle, Denver, SLC)

Travel: 60-80%

Compensation: $70k-$90k

The Field Calibration Metrology Technician is responsible for performing and documenting the required calibrations of instrumentation within the facility, systems, and equipment in a cGMP facility. Required duties include Preventative and Corrective calibrations on the facility’s instruments and systems which include scales, pressure temperature chambers, pH/cond meters, and other lab instruments. Technician will also assist with higher level calibrations and perform administrative tasks for calibration team. Attention to detail and process analytical skills are required. Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all staff levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration of equipment and instrumentation on a routine basis.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment.
• Review Calibration Documentation from Vendors and upload onto CMMS.
• Maintaining new equipment and entering information
• Management of Pipettes, calibration standards, and additional small equipment.
• Adhering to all established Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Policies (i.e., lockout/tagout, arc flash, OJTs) •
• Ensure compliance with GMP guidelines and with all applicable company, federal, and local EH&S regulations, guidelines, and policies.

Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 3+ years of experience calibrating equipment
• 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining facility equipment in a medical device or pharmaceutical GMP Environment
• ASQ – Certified Calibration Technician preferred
