About the Role
AnimalKind, Inc. is seeking a mature, experienced, and energetic Shift Leader to join our team at ReTails Thrift Shop. This pivotal role ensures our daily operations run smoothly while directly supporting our mission to end the overpopulation of cats and dogs through spay/neuter and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: Manage opening and closing procedures to ensure store security and readiness.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and support our dedicated volunteers, fostering a productive and welcoming environment.
• Merchandising & Safety: Maintain a stocked, clean, and safe sales floor that provides an inviting experience for our customers.
• Versatility: Serve as a "float" leader, stepping in as a cashier or assisting in production and receiving as needed.
• Pricing Excellence: Utilize your knowledge of new and used clothing and household goods to apply accurate pricing structures.
• Dynamic Decision-Making: Exercise sound judgment to solve problems "on-the-fly" in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience in retail or volunteer management; administrative skills are highly valued.
• Leadership Style: Intelligent, energetic, and highly relational with the ability to lead with empathy.
• Availability: Must be able to work weekend shifts (specifically Saturdays and Sundays).
