HCi3 is committed to fostering a culture that is grounded in respect, diversity, and inclusiveness.  We strongly encourage and will prioritize applications from First Nations people, African Nova Scotians and other racially visible persons, persons with disabilities, and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community for this position.  If you are a member of one or more of these equity groups, you are encouraged to self-identify in your cover letter or resume.

Are you interested in working towards an inclusive net zero future while actively promoting equity and reconciliation? The Halifax Climate Investment, Innovation, and Impact Fund (HCi3) is looking for an Outreach and Communications Coordinator to join our small and dynamic team. At HCi3, we are committed to investing in a net-zero Halifax/Kjipuktuk for everyone, including communities that have historically faced environmental injustice and systemic racism. As a team member, you will have the opportunity to drive climate action, build partnerships, promote equity and reconciliation, and make strategic grants and investments with an intentional focus on addressing systemic racism and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

About HCi3

The Halifax Climate Investment, Innovation, and Impact (HCi3) Fund supports carbon reduction initiatives in the Halifax/Kjipuktuk region through a collaborative and “multi-solving” approach. We’re looking at how we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by financing scalable solutions, building community and National climate capacity, supporting equity, contributing to reconciliation, and providing other community and environmental benefits.

HCi3 was established in 2020 as one of seven Low Carbon Cities Canada (LC3) centers. We are a subsidiary of EfficiencyOne, a national leader in the design and delivery of resource efficiency programs and services. HCi3 draws on the national expertise of the LC3 network and the experience of EfficiencyOne to drive innovation and share knowledge locally and nationally.
