GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Bond Account Assistant is responsible for contributing to all support tasks associated with contract and commercial surety bonding, while requiring a moderate amount of supervision.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understanding of general suretyship.
  • Provides professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and coworkers resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Promptly responds and takes action to facilitate client requests for bid/final bonds, information, and general bond-related inquiries.
  • Assists with gathering information needed to set up and maintain contract bond programs.
  • Assists with gathering information needed to write and service commercial bonds for clients.
  • Utilizes surety websites/portals to independently service a high volume of accounts.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Quality Management - demonstrates attention to detail
  • Advanced organizational leadership skills required.

EDUCATION, LICENSES AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher preferred.
  • Valid Oklahoma P&C Insurance License.
  • Experience with Construction and/or Accounting & Finance is preferred but not required.
  • Completion of NASBP Contract and/or Commercial Surety School Level 1 preferred.
  • 1 + years of surety experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
