GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Bond Account Assistant is responsible for contributing to all support tasks associated with contract and commercial surety bonding, while requiring a moderate amount of supervision.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understanding of general suretyship.
- Provides professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and coworkers resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations.
- Promptly responds and takes action to facilitate client requests for bid/final bonds, information, and general bond-related inquiries.
- Assists with gathering information needed to set up and maintain contract bond programs.
- Assists with gathering information needed to write and service commercial bonds for clients.
- Utilizes surety websites/portals to independently service a high volume of accounts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Quality Management - demonstrates attention to detail
- Advanced organizational leadership skills required.
EDUCATION, LICENSES AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher preferred.
- Valid Oklahoma P&C Insurance License.
- Experience with Construction and/or Accounting & Finance is preferred but not required.
- Completion of NASBP Contract and/or Commercial Surety School Level 1 preferred.
- 1 + years of surety experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
