Willbanks Metals Inc. is a Fort Worth, Texas-based company and we’re expanding our production and distribution capabilities as well as our capacity. Because of this, we are seeking out an outside sales representative that is based in the Southwest US.

Position Overview:

As a Discrete Plate Product Manager, you will be the primary driver behind the growth and success of Willbanks Metals Inc Discrete Plate division. This is a hands-on role combining sales, product management, and customer service responsibilities. You will be responsible for developing and expanding relationships with both new and existing customers, managing purchasing decisions, quoting and order creation, and providing end-to-end customer service. You will treat the plate business like your own territory, with full support and tools provided by Willbanks Metals Inc to help you succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Understanding:

  • Develop deep knowledge of the Discrete plate market, customer needs, and competitors in the Texas Region.
  • Stay informed about market trends, including pricing, demand, and technological advancements.

Customer Engagement:

  • Actively maintain, strengthen, and grow relationships with existing plate customers.
  • Identify and establish relationships with new customers in the plate market.
  • Conduct regular on-site customer visits to ensure customer satisfaction, address any issues that arise, and explore potential growth opportunities.

Product & Sales Management:

  • Manage plate purchasing activities to ensure competitive pricing and availability.
  • Drive commercial sales growth and identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare accurate quotes, bids, and stock confirmations.
  • Create sales orders, providing customers with clear timelines for delivery.
  • Resolve customer service issues promptly and provide creative solutions tailored to each customer's specific needs.
  • Implement Willbanks Metals Inc proven marketing strategies to revive dormant accounts and grow underperforming ones.  
  • Collaborate closely with the inside sales team to strategize on pricing and optimize sales efforts.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Submit daily and weekly reports on sales performance, market conditions, and customer feedback.
  • Analyze market data to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in discrete plate sales and/or management.
  • Strong understanding of Discrete Plate products and market.
  • Excellent business communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Passionate about sales and customer relationship management.
  • Ability to visit customers regularly; a valid driver’s license is required.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and improve skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience using CRM software.
  • Proven industrial sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and KPIs.
  • Previous experience handling both purchasing and sales responsibilities.
  • Post-secondary education in business, sales, or a related field.

Working Hours & Location:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • Based in Fort Worth, TX, occasional travel to customer locations within the territory.
