Position: Houseman & Shuttle Driver
Job Summary:
The Houseman & Shuttle Driver is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of assigned hotel areas while also providing safe and reliable transportation for guests. This dual role ensures guest comfort and satisfaction by adhering to brand standards for cleanliness and providing courteous shuttle service to approved locations.
Essential Job Duties:
Shuttle Responsibilities:
Safely transport guests and approved passengers to designated drop-off and pick-up locations.
Conduct a pre-shift vehicle safety inspection using a checklist.
Ensure hands-free device connectivity before starting each shift.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness by removing trash and performing light cleaning.
Monitor and maintain necessary service records, including mileage logs.
Keep the gas tank at an appropriate level and replenish as needed.
Comply with all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies regarding vehicle operation.
Warmly greet passengers as they enter/depart the vehicle.
Ensure all passengers complete the passenger log before departure.
Offer water to passengers during warm months and assist with luggage as needed.
Optimize pick-up and drop-off schedules for efficiency.
Support other hotel departments as needed during downtime.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Houseman Responsibilities:
Pick up debris, sweep, dust, vacuum, and clean common areas, restrooms, and exterior spaces.
Restock and inspect public areas, replacing expired or damaged marketing collateral.
Wipe door frames, windowsills, walls, baseboards, and arrange furniture properly.
Clean and disinfect appliances, equipment, furniture, and high-dust artwork.
Clean mirrors, windows, vent covers, and glass doors.
Vacuum hallways and common areas.
Turn in all lost and found articles immediately.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to operate a shuttle vehicle safely and responsibly.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Physical ability to lift, move, and clean as required by housekeeping duties.
Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or driving roles is preferred.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
MUST BE BILINGUAL.
