ABOUT THE POSITION
As a member of the counselling team at Family Services Ottawa (FSO) and under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Counsellor will be responsible for providing direct counselling services to a broad range of clients across FSO counselling programs, participating in clinical supervision and consultation, and any additional duties as required. This Counsellor position provides counselling services for individuals, couples, families, and groups with mild to moderate and/or severe and persistent mental health challenges. Counsellors are required to work at least one evening per week.
ABOUT YOU
You have completed a master’s in social work (M.S.W.), Education in Counselling, Psychotherapy, or an equivalent degree. You are a member in good standing with a regulatory college (OCSWSSW, CRPO) and have maintained the right to practice the controlled act of psychotherapy within the province of Ontario. You have excellent oral and written communication skills in English. You have two (2) years of related counselling experience working with individuals, couples, families, and/or groups. Your experience includes working with diverse populations with mental health challenges that have experienced trauma.
