Project Technical Sales Specialist Lead

Position Summary:
The Project Technical Sales Specialist Lead is responsible for leading a team
of technical sales specialists while actively contributing to complex project
sales. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and commercial
strategy to drive high‑quality solution development, strengthen bid
competitiveness, and ensure alignment between customer needs and organizational
capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Mentor and support sales team members to foster an environment of learning and growth.
Monitor and delegate workload to ensure efficient task distribution and customer responsiveness.
Manage the team’s shared email account to coordinate communications, workload, and inquiries.
Communicate actively with the Program Manager and team members to ensure deadlines are met and best practices are followed.
Provide administrative support for product and outside sales territories.
Collaborate with sales representatives to evaluate performance, identify improvement opportunities, and provide direct feedback.
Support the team by entering orders into the ERP system and Salesforce as needed.
Make day‑to‑day decisions related to pricing and customer care within established guidelines.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to fully develop accounts within designated territories; occasional on‑site customer interaction is required.
Assist customers in selecting products based on project needs through applications and quote proposals.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of technical products, including concepts of pressure, flow, temperature, and resistance.
Partner with the service team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position includes supervisory responsibilities for direct reports within
the project and customer relations teams.
Work Environment:
This role operates primarily in an office environment using standard office
equipment such as a computer, phone, printer, and scanner. Occasional mobility
throughout the facility and travel to customer sites may be required.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to
talk and hear. This position may involve both active movement throughout the
facility and periods of sitting at a workstation. Vision requirements include
close, distance, and color vision, as well as depth perception and focus
adjustment.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full‑time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on business needs.
Travel:
Overnight travel is rare; local travel to customer sites or other George E.
Booth Co. locations may be required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Required Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED, with five to seven years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in inside sales or account management with a proven ability to manage relationships with clients and internal teams.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and coach a sales team.
Preferred Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or seven to nine years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge of instrumentation products such as valves, filters, and gauges.
Familiarity with Salesforce and P21 systems.

Must have a valid driver’s license and be legally authorized to work in the United States.
