Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel

IBX, an innovation and investment firm revolutionizing the space and energy sectors, is recruiting for a Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel.  This individual will serve as a partner to the Chief Legal Officer, acting as a strategic member, trusted thought partner, and sage advisor on legal and compliance-related business issues across the group. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the position will also act as General Counsel to two subsidiary businesses and be responsible for overseeing, developing and maintaining the highest level of ethics and compliance across the group.

Candidate must have 7+ year’s experience in business/corporate law within a firm and/or in the internal legal or compliance department in a strong corporate setting.  Demonstrated understanding of the requirements and aspects of effective compliance programs. Flexibility and desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial startup environment. The successful candidate will be agile, flexible and able to connect with several different stakeholders in addition to having a high degree of leadership, ethics, and integrity, as well as strategic/conceptual thinking capabilities.

Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
