Youth To The People’s Product Team is looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and hardworking Regulatory Affairs Manager to lead the Regulatory agenda at an exciting time in the Youth To The People brand.   • Experience in a global regulatory role within the beauty industry

 

Skills and responsibilities

  • Provide cross-functional strategic regulatory guidance  in new product development to ensure chemical, formula, ingredient and packaging compliance on a domestic and international level for cosmetic products regulations 

  • Ensures compliance of third party ingredient suppliers and adherence with Brand standards 

  • Create region-specific ingredient lists from raw material formulas

  • Work with the marketing team in region-specific artwork label review and act as a regulatory gatekeeper for all claims and labeling (e.g. websites, inserts, brochures, digital advertising)

  • Manage existing finished goods and formula compliance and initiate change when demanded by new regulations or business practices

  • Manage regulatory files and control documents, PIF, SDS, COA, Spec, Stability. Manage Product Information Files and applicable product filings for respective regions including Health Canada CNF, EU CPNP, California Safe Cosmetics Act, etc. 

  • Work with consultants and internal company personnel to register facilities and OTC products with US-FDA and Health Canada and maintain company compliance as needed

  • Work with marketing and regional distributors [Sephora] to register products in markets outside of the US, Canada, and the EU (i.e. Australia, Russia)

  • Lead issue management on regulatory and provide key stakeholders with updates on issues affecting the Brand

  • Overseas product safety testing (eg PET, HRIPT, in-vitro irritation, heavy metals, ophthalmology, SPF methods) and third-party safety assessment

  • Ensures compliance of new innovations 

  • Stay up to date with existing and emerging regulations affecting the Brand, updating teams as needed, attending conferences and building relationships with external partners and third parties

  • Defines and owns strategy for ongoing regulatory compliance of product portfolio with continually changing the regulatory landscape and ensures implementation with Product teams
