Facility Tech

Position Title: Facilities Tech                      Camp: Pines/Summit

Reports To: Facilities Director                     Status: Full Time

Position Summary: The Facilities Tech employee ensures the buildings and grounds are problem free so guests, campers and employees can enjoy camp under the best and safest conditions.

This position is connected to the faith and mission of the camp and moves forward the mission and vision of UCYC.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
• Inspects buildings and structures to determine the need for repairs and renovations
• Paints buildings as needed
• Maintain and repair building's plumbing and electrical systems
• Clean and maintain pools
• Basic vehicle care and maintenance.
• Assists all other departments with maintenance issues
• Keeps the Director of Facilities informed of issues in areas needing maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Excellent written and communication skills
• Careful attention to detail and ability to delegate as needed
• Organizational skills
• Valid Driver's License
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
• Ability to walk 6+ miles per day and be outside in the sun
• Must be able to stoop, stand for long periods of time, and climb ladders
• Ability to work independently within the scope of the assignment
• Have a teachable spirit and a desire to learn and grow
• Ability to make tough decisions and a willingness to engage in healthy conflict among the team
• Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
