Bellman

Tidewater Inn is seeking a friendly, professional, and guest-focused Bellman to join our team! This role is essential in creating a warm and welcoming experience for our guests by assisting with luggage, greeting them upon arrival, and ensuring their departure is seamless and enjoyable. The Bellman also supports the team by keeping the lobby and entrance areas clean and inviting, assisting with guest inquiries and directions, and managing the collection and distribution of mail, packages, and deliveries. Responsibilities

• Check the daily arrival list of VIP's or guests with special requests.
• Be Present at the front door or in the lobby to be ready to assist guests, colleagues, and visitors when requested.
• Ensure collection and delivery of guest's luggage and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.
• Tag baggage and return the identification slips to guests.
• Escort guests to room and place luggage in room assigned by the front desk.
• Inspect guests' room for order and adequate supplies and informs guest of room amenities.
• Deliver faxes, messages, packages and flowers to guests' room and to offices.
• Provide items on loan to guest and collect the items back from guest before departure.
• Ensure safe storage of guest's personal items.
• Assist guests with luggage storage request.
• Transport departing guests' luggage from the room to the lobby, then to car/taxi after reconfirming with guest.
• Respond to guest requests and queries providing a knowledgeable, efficient, and helpful information service.
• Assist with answering the phone and taking messages, transferring calls and assisting with enquiries.
• Open doors for guests when they arrive/leave the hotel.
• Other duties assigned.

Compensation

• $16.00 an hour plus Tips
• Non-exempt variable part-time position or Full-time position
