Job Title: Knowledge Management and SharePoint Support (1410.b)

Location: Remote

Job Description: 

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Federal Electronic Health Record Modernization (FEHRM) program.

Serve as a SharePoint Developer of a government program supporting all aspects of the software development implementation and sustainment life cycle of firm-created SharePoint solutions.

Work with clients, stakeholders, or the project manager to identify current operating procedures, applying knowledge of and expertise in Microsoft SharePoint product capabilities, customization, and development avenues to solve complex problems.

Assist with monitoring and maintaining site storage limits and archiving files off SharePoint when required.

Assist with building and maintaining training guides, slick sheets, and policy documentation.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 4+ years of professional work experience
  • Possesses knowledge of appropriate data sources to address the specific requirements of projects for monitoring, characterization, analysis and modeling
  • Performs scientific research, scientific writing and editing, including the writing and editing of project products to established government standards for the targeted science and lay audiences, proofreading of draft and final documents
  • Works under supervision
  • Experience building workflows using SharePoint Designer 2010 and 2013
  • Experience in developing SharePoint out-of-the-box solutions in SharePoint 2013 and 2016 and developing with SharePoint technologies, with some knowledge of custom branding and navigation, configuring and administering search, configuring site collections, content types, applying scripts using script editor and content editor webparts, client-side rendering, application design, and creating custom pages, page layouts, forms, master pages, list templates
  • Possession of excellent listening, oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Science, Computer Engineering or related scientific, technical, or clinical discipline, or an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Records Management (RM)
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with working on a software development team of project managers and developers
  • Experience with JavaScript development including AJAX (RESTful Operations) and Web development languages, including HTML, CSS and jQuery
  • Ability to analyze and communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships
  • Experience with implementing Electronic Health Records

VA experience preferred
