Community Programs Representative (Internship)

Location: Fullerton, CA + Surrounding Cities (Costa Mesa, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Westminster, Orange, Buena Park)

About the Role

We are seeking motivated and community-focused college students to join our team as Community Programs Representatives (Internship). This role offers hands-on experience in public outreach, event-based engagement, and program promotion—ideal for students looking to build real-world communication, marketing, or public service skills.

As part of the outreach team, you will represent our organization at community events, resource fairs, and local venues. This position requires regular local travel, so a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a frontline representative at scheduled community events and outreach locations

• Engage local residents, share program information, and answer questions

• Promote program awareness and encourage community participation

• Assist with event setup, distribution of materials, and clean-up after each activation

• Track attendance, gather feedback, and submit reports to program leadership

• Coordinate with the outreach team to increase event impact and visibility

• Travel independently to multiple locations within Fullerton and surrounding areas

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
  Preferred majors: Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Social Sciences

• Strong verbal communication skills and confidence engaging diverse community members

• Valid California driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and proof of auto insurance

• Professional, dependable, and self-directed with strong initiative

• Flexible availability, including some weekends

• Prior experience in customer service, events, or outreach is beneficial but not required
