Maintenance Manager
Job Description
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the structural health of the property. This includes dock structure, plumbing, electrical and property maintenance concerns. The Maintenance Manager diagnoses issues, evaluates options, and provides solutions for their properties. Using their knowledge, skills, and resources they repair and maintain all property facilities.
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the following:
● Observing the state of the docks including loose boats and ropes
● Observing safety and facility needs, such as loose decking and water leaks
● Repairing and maintaining facilities including cabins, docks, and RV Sites
● Researching and suggesting repair options to management
● Suggesting third party contractors as necessary
● Ensuring safety of team, guests, and other staff during work
● Allocating time and resources across multiple properties and facilities
● Communicating observations and concerns regarding the state of the property and equipment to other departments and management.
● Other tasks as necessary
The Maintenance Manager must be knowledgeable in marina and property maintenance requirements. They must be both handy with tools and equipment and also have the ability to see a bigger picture across multiple departments, facilities, and properties. As a team leader, they must communicate the needs of the job and the tasks of the staff while also verifying the job is done correctly and safely.
