Account Executive
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to join our team in Canada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling and managing existing customer accounts, with a strong focus on non-mag BHA rental business. This role requires a strategic approach to not only maintain but also expand our customer base among directional providers, and to introduce and sell our downhole drilling technologies to operators.
PRIMARY DUTIES
• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets for non-mag BHA rentals and downhole drilling technologies.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with directional drilling providers and operators.
• Understand customer needs and requirements to promote our products and services effectively.
• Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs actively seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling and networking.
• Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
• Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.
• Collaborate with team members in operations, engineering, accounting, and leadership to deliver results and grow business.
• Provide detailed reports on sales activities, results, and forecasts to the management team.
• Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• This is a business development role with emphasis on account management. The role requires daily in person contact with clients to be successful.
• Motivated self-starter, comfortable in fast-paced environment.
• Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Sales Representative, or similar role within the oil and gas industry, specifically related to BHA rental and downhole drilling technologies.
• Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry dynamics and market trends in the Permian Basin with the ability to communicate this information internally to other stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport and foster meaningful relationships with customers and team members at both the field and office level.
• Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and or Salesforce a major plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as needed.
