We are seeking an IT Network Engineer to join us! You will work with a team to support network infrastructures and handle a variety of projects to maintain customer satisfaction

 

Requirements:

·       Minimum 3-5 years recent work experience as a network engineer

·       Willing to commute to the port

·       Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies

·       Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in tight spaces and outside

·       Able to work efficiently and effectively with team members during heavy workloads

·       Be detail-oriented, especially with documentation

·       Valid California driver’s license

·       Qualify for and obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) for security clearance (https://www.tsa.gov/disqualifying-offenses-factors)


Responsibilities:

 

·       Responsible for maintaining the core network environment of our clients and providing on-call support on business-critical infrastructure

·       Manage installed network infrastructure on a day-to-day basis including but not limited to the following vendors

 

·       Cisco Routing and Switching

·       Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)

·       Cisco ASA Firewall

·       Cisco Wireless LAN Controller

·       Palo Alto Firewall

·       Meraki

·       Ekahau

 

·       Manage daily tasks and projects involving configuring, installing, and troubleshooting, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, VoIP, Access Points and WLC.

·       Evaluate and monitor network performance using network management tools and Wireshark

·       Regularly coordinate maintenances for upgrading network equipment to the latest firmware releases

·       Support and maintain Wireless environments

·       Recommend solutions to mitigate risks related to network security vulnerabilities

·       Develop and refine network documentation and procedures, including Visio diagrams

·       Plan and contribute to current and future projects

·       Communicate and troubleshoot with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

·       Collaborate effectively within a team environment as well as perform tasks independently

·       Apply a logical approach in solving challenging problems€‹

·       Troubleshoot network related issues pertaining to the physical layout of a network infrastructure (e.g. copper, fiber)

·       Occasionally install and configure network and technology within project deadlines


Qualifications:

 

·       AA or equivalent plus 3+ years of progressive experience in network engineering support environment

·       Recent 2 year of experience as a network engineer

·       CCNA or equivalent

·       Experience administering Cisco switches and routers

·       Experience administering Cisco Wireless Controllers and Access Points

·       Experience in Cisco ASA firewall policy administration

·       Experience in Palo Alto Networks firewall policy administration

·       Architectural experience with WAN/LAN topologies

·       Experience with Cisco Unified Communication (VOIP) is a plus

·       Experience with administering Meraki is a plus

·       Experience with troubleshooting and analysis of Firewall/Network logs and packet captures

·       Familiar with WAN circuits and protocols

·       Working knowledge of TCP/IP and data protocols, understand the life of a packet

·       Must be creative and have initiative as well as possess exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills

·       Strong positive can-do attitude

·       Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

·       Ability to prioritize and multi-task

     Deadline and detail oriented
