Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Optician/Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our practice while delivering outstanding optical services. This role combines expertise in dispensing eyewear with administrative leadership, ensuring smooth workflow, excellent patient experiences, and an efficient office environment.
Key Responsibilities:Optician Duties:-
Assist patients in selecting eyeglasses that suit their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.

Take precise measurements for lenses and frame adjustments to ensure optimal vision and comfort.

Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and frame styles.

Process insurance claims, verify coverage, and ensure accurate billing.

Maintain an up-to-date inventory of frames, lenses, and optical supplies.

Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and fittings on eyewear.

Stay informed about the latest optical products, technology, and industry trends.

Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring a smooth workflow for both staff and patients.

Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance to maintain a high level of service.

Handle patient scheduling, appointment reminders, and front desk coordination.

Ensure compliance with Ontario health regulations and office policies.

Oversee financial transactions, including invoicing, payments, and budget monitoring.

Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment with a strong focus on customer service.

Implement office procedures to improve efficiency and enhance patient satisfaction.

Licensed Optician in Ontario (preferred) or extensive experience in optical sales and dispensing.

Experience in office management, preferably in a healthcare or optical setting.

Strong knowledge of optical products, lens technology, and insurance billing processes in Ontario.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software.

Ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
