Vineyard/Groundskeeper
The Vineyard/Groundskeeper role at Wise Villa Vineyard involves maintaining the beauty and functionality of our landscapes through vineyard maintenance, irrigation system management, landscaping, and equipment operation.
Essential Functions:
- Perform routine vineyard maintenance tasks, including but not limited to planting, pruning, hedging, harvesting, and weed eating.
- Conduct irrigation system repairs and adjustments to ensure proper water distribution to the vines.
- Operate and maintain vineyard equipment such as tractors, mowers, and sprayers.
- Execute landscaping duties, including power washing, leaf blowing, and general grounds maintenance.
- Monitor and implement pest and disease control measures through proper spraying techniques.
- Collaborate with the vineyard management team to plan and execute seasonal tasks efficiently.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:

- Effective communication skills to work within a team and follow instructions.
- Ability to operate and maintain vineyard equipment, with or without previous vineyard knowledge.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality vineyard landscapes.
- Flexibility to work varying hours based on seasonal demands.
Experience and Education:
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or agriculture is preferred but not mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to conduct prolonged periods of outdoor work in diverse weather conditions.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to bend, twist, turn, grab, feel, push, pull, and reach.
- Physical dexterity to operate and maneuver various types of machinery and equipment.
- Comfortable working at heights, including climbing ladders and accessing elevated vineyard areas.
Working Hours:
- Summer and Fall: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
- Winter and Spring: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
