The pools technician is responsible for the cleaning and chemical levels of eleven pools, eight kiddy pools, four Jacuzzis, a steam room and sauna, a water park and a children’s activity pool in addition to monitoring the pump houses servicing the pools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Regular attendance

· Cleaning tile
· Cleaning decks
· Monitoring chemical levels
· Handling problems associated with pools
· Checking filtration systems
· Training staff

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents and manuals; ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and evaluations; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization; ability to read and interpret safety warnings and labels.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent; ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
