Maintenance Technician

Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with rotating on call weekends and holidays

Performs maintenance on all building, grounds, and equipment to ensure safe and hazard free environment.

Maintains extensive facility check list for facility cleanliness, electrical, plumbing, cabinetry, heating and cooling equipment function and general facility condition and repair. Performs repairs as needed.

Operates power tools to facilitate maintenance & repair tasks daily. Is responsible for maintaining or procuring appropriate tools for facility maintenance and repair.

Run errands to and from offsite storage & local supply vendors daily.

Removes obsolete electronics and broken or obsolete fixed or unfixed equipment from the facility to an appropriate safe disposal site.

During the seasons, on daily basis removes snow using power snow blower, mows lawn using riding lawn mower and other powered devices. Cares for plants and shrubbery around the building and grounds.

Weekly picks up infectious materials, cleans carpets with spots, and maintains tile floors on a scheduled basis.

Assists with hazardous spill cleanup according to OSHA guidelines.

Inspects facility lighting changing bulbs as needed.

Maintains site inventory of appropriate lighting supplies, cleaning supplies and other tools and supplies required for facility maintenance.

Performs refrigeration and internal air conditioning unit maintenance.

Performs minor carpentry on facility and fixtures. Paints designated areas of the building to maintain appearance and functionality.

Accepts and completes written work orders from staff maintaining a designated completion schedule. Initiates or accepts calls from outside vendors regarding building maintenance.

Responsible for locating and recommending outside vendors to perform needed facility or equipment repairs. Maintains an up-to-date vendor/contractor contact information list for facility use.

Assists with organizing and executing building fire or weather emergency drills and lockdown procedures. Makes recommendations regarding building safety issues.

Special Requirements: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.  Must have covid vaccine or exemption.
