The purpose of this position is to track and communicate the status and location of equipment to relevant personnel as it moves through JM Test Systems service processes. The Lab Administrator will communicate with Lab management, lab technician, and employees in other work areas such as Quality Assurance (QA), Receiving, and Accounts Receivable as well as with customers. Key purposes of the position are to assure that all JMTS personnel involved in the customer’s service requirements are aware of the status of the equipment and the customer’s need-by date, that any delays are communicated to other departments and the customer, and that appropriate and accurate paperwork accompany the equipment as it moves among JMTS departments. 

Immediate Supervisors:  Lab Manager 

Interrelationships:  Works closely with Lab Manager, Assistant Managers, On-site staff, QA staff, Rental, AR,  Receiving, Shipping, Lead Technicians, Technicians, Purchasing, Sales, and Outside Labs in order to perform all task and duties.


QUALIFICATIONS (to be hired into the position):

Education:  Must have a High school diploma or GED

Training and Experience:

  • Previous experience communicating with internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures; filing, purchase orders, work orders, word processing systems
  • Knowledge of English language; meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar
  • Knowledge of simple mathematics
