Bandsaw Operator
We are seeking a skilled Bandsaw Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a bandsaw in a manufacturing or production environment. Welding experience is a plus!

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Band Saw Operator is responsible for the precision cutting of metal material in a timely manner. This position must maintain high quality work, high level of attention to detail while ensuring personal productivity and safe operation of the machinery.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
- Cut angles to specifications.
- Operation of band saws and punch press.
- Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
- Effectively prioritize workloads and use of available resources within time constraints.
- Must be able to move steel materials utilizing physical strength forklifts, slings and straps
- Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
- Interpret drawings, sketches, models, specifications, work sheets, and related documents.
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two-year band saw experience preferred.
- Ability to read and use tape measure, scale, calipers, fillet, weld gauge, etc
- Ability to operate heavy machinery.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Agile and adaptable to changing circumstances.
- Excellent communication skills.
Legacy Metals LLC offers competitive wages contingent upon experience, education, and skills. Starting rate for this role is $18.00/hr.
The schedule for this role is Monday - Friday from 7 am to 3 pm with overtime as needed.
