Position Summary

The Maintenance Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing all facility, attraction, and equipment maintenance to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained park environment. This hands-on role is responsible for performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and construction tasks while supervising maintenance staff and enforcing safety standards. The Maintenance Manager ensures all attractions operate at peak performance, supports event setup, and helps drive guest satisfaction by maintaining a clean, safe, and reliable park.

Key Responsibilities

1. Facility & Attraction Maintenance
  • Perform daily inspections, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs on slides, attractions, equipment, fixtures, and building systems.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure maximum guest safety.

2. Construction & Repairs
  • Build, assemble, repair, and install park features, structures, or equipment as needed.

  • Safely operate tools, lifts, ladders, and equipment to complete carpentry, mechanical, painting, or general handyman tasks.

3. Team Leadership
  • Lead by example by working hands-on with the maintenance team.

  • Provide training on tools, safety procedures, maintenance standards, and task execution.

4. Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce safety standards, ensuring all maintenance tasks follow company, industry, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Respond quickly to emergencies or equipment malfunctions to ensure guest and team safety.

5. Inventory, Tools & Equipment Management
  • Monitor supply levels and ensure tools and materials are properly stocked and maintained.

  • Assist with budgeting for equipment needs and tracking usage.

6. Event & Operational Support
  • Support setup and takedown for parties, events, and special activities.

  • Assist operations and leadership with projects that improve park functionality and guest experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or trade experience preferred

  • 1–3 years of maintenance, construction, handyman, or facility repair experience

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with basic carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, or equipment repair

  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Reliable transportation to and from work

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work on feet for extended periods (6–8 hours)

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.

  • Comfortable working at heights, in tight spaces, or in varying temperatures

  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations

  • Comfortable working in a loud, fast-paced environment

Work Schedule

This is an hourly position requiring flexibility. Shifts may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. Consistent weekend availability is essential to support maintenance coverage and guest volume.
