Merchandise Support Specialist

eCampus.com is currently seeking a Merchandise Support Specialist who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. eCampus.com, a leading bookstore management company for over 300 academic institutions, is expanding its business into physical campus retail stores and this role will play an integral part in that expansion. This position works closely with the Senior Merchandising Manager.

The primary goal of this position is to assist the Senior Merchandising Manager and the eCampus.com merchandise team with the organization of apparel and merchandise assortments and ensuring these products are reflected in a timely manner on the store website. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, and excels at time management. Flexibility is also critical as this is a dynamic, ever-changing industry. This position is a remote, work-from-home opportunity with occasional meetings in the corporate office and travel to campus stores.

Responsibilities:

  • Product creation and management in a POS System
  • Creation of purchase orders in a POS System
  • Assist store management with product inquiries and resolving any issues
  • Oversee the payment of merchandise invoices
  • Maintain product listings on each store websites including creating UPCs and product descriptions, obtaining images, size charts, etc. to enhance the customer experience
  • Partner with other departments within eCampus.com to continuously improve systems and processes
  • Organize, travel to, and execute on-site school events and visits when applicable
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Senior Merchandising Manager and/or management
  • Show a strong passion for the company brand

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 1-year retail experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive approach to tasks with the ability to be autonomous
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Must be flexible and comfortable with change; possess the ability to respond effectively to a fast pace, unexpected issues, demanding timelines and evolving priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite (including Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to engage in travel
  • An innate customer focus in all aspects of the position
  • Ability to work well within a team
