Norspan is a locally owned and operated engineered wood product supply center located in Headingley, Manitoba. We primarily service the Winnipeg Metropolitan Region, providing engineered wood products that our customers can rely on.

The Truss Designer duties include but are not limited to:
• Designing trusses & layouts according to company standards & specifications
• Implementing design changes and communicating with other related departments to ensure accuracy of design(s)
• Providing the pre- and post-technical support to customers when required
• Promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with our policies and procedures including all Health & Safety protocols
• Providing support to other projects
• Other duties as assigned.
The Successful Candidate will have:
• Post-secondary education or technical training in Architecture, Engineering or Drafting.
• Proficiency with Alpine ITW truss design software or Mitek.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle if working in office.
• Previous drafting and design experience in the construction industry.
• Demonstrated track record of continuous learning (with knowledge of the building industry considered to be a strong asset).
• Customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and multi-task several projects at the same time.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.
• Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
• Strong organizational skills and self-motivated.
