Principal Electrical Engineer

*Compensation: $140-160K salary; bonus; benefits

*Location: North Andover, MA

We seek a Principal Electrical Engineer for an innovative pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturer. The Principal Electrical Engineer is a self-starter who can play a key contributor role within our hardware development team. In this role you will plan, analyze and implement the designs and improvements to the electrical systems in our medical device products to achieve product performance goals and business objectives.

Requirements

·        BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering Required

·        Device experience Required

·        7+ years of experience as an electrical engineer or related function Required

·        Direct experience developing within a regulated environment (Medical, Aerospace, Military)

·        Experience with CAD tools including schematic capture and PCB design

·        Familiarity with regulations governing electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility and the activities necessary to achieve IEC 60601 certification

·        Experience with communication interfaces, including I2C, SPI, UART, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth

Responsibilities

·        Design and develop analog, digital, and mixed signal, and power circuits

·        Prototype, debug, troubleshoot, and rework while maintaining quality technical documentation.

·        Build and test prototypes to verify design function

·        Support verification and validation activities for the system

·        Perform and document failure analysis of returned product
